Dr Hasleton studied Medicine at the University of Manchester before training in cardiology in Liverpool.
He also worked at Hope Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and completed a Masters degree in Cardiovascular Science at the University College London’s (UCL) Hatter Cardiovascular Institute. He completed his training at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital developing sub-specialty interests in coronary intervention and cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
He looks after patients with all aspects of general cardiology problems with a specialist interest in diagnosing, treating and mitigating the risk of coronary artery disease. With his interest in cardiovascular MRI he is able to provide a specialist opinion on patients with more unusual cardiac conditions. Dr Hasleton provides outpatient consultations with access to a wide range of non-invasive cardiac testing including cardiovascular computed tomography (CT) and MRI. He also provides catheter lab services such as coronary angiography, and is an expert in percutaneous coronary intervention (the implantation of stents in the heart’s arteries).
He is a consultant cardiologist holding posts at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital and the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. At the Royal Liverpool University Hospital he works in general cardiology providing opinions and treatment to patients across the breadth of medical and surgical specialities. At the Liverpool Heart and Chest hospital (LHCH) he works in interventional cardiology treating both elective and emergency cardiac cases. LHCH is the second largest angioplasty centre in the UK in terms of volumes of cases, and the UK number one in terms of the cases done per consultant operator.
