At the latest count 247 million people have had Covid-19 worldwide. A study carried out in June 2021 revealed that one in twenty people who have suffered with Covid, went on to have long-Covid. This equates to over two million adults in the UK alone.
We understand that many people who have suffered from Covid or continue to suffer with long or post Covid symptoms, have concerns about how it may have affected the other organs in their body – their heart, their lungs, their circulatory and respiratory system more generally. If this sounds like you, we invite you to attend a free online event focusing on common symptoms, things to look out for and possible treatments or management plans.
This free and interactive event will take place via Zoom on Thursday 18th November from 19:30 – 20:30.
It will be hosted by consultant cardiologists, Dr Scott Murray and Dr Thomas Heseltine and respiratory consultant, Dr Denis Wat. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions (anonymously if preferred) in advance of the session or to ask questions in the chat during the session.
You should expect to leave the session with :
- A good understanding of the treatments options for a variety of symptoms including:
- Breathlessness
- Palpitations
- Chest pain
- Warning signs – what to look out for and when to seek further medical advice
- Support services available
We want to see a reduction in symptoms, a better quality of life and complete recovery for as many people as possible. To register your interest to attend this free event, please complete the form below.
